This isn’t necessarily based on what has been seen so far at training camp. It’s more about what lineup gives the team the best chance of success. The only slot I’m not entirely sold on is Schuldhaus as the 7th defenseman. It’s not because of his skill, I think there is enough there to earn the spot. But the defense is so deep, it may be hard to get him into enough games for it to be worth it for him to be here. There’s a lot to be said for playing consistently as opposed to learning from the stands. It’s not a problem you would have with Wolf if you kept him as the spare defenseman.
