Saturday night possibilities

As seen earlier, here are the updated standings after Friday night:

Seattle Thunderbirds  40-24-2-4   86
Spokane Chiefs             40-25-3-3    86
Everett Silvertips          38-23-7-2    85

Seattle and Everett both have 2 games remaining, Spokane has 1:
Seattle: @POR, @TC
Spokane: @TC
Everett: VIC, @POR

Here are the eliminating possibilities for tonight:

Seattle win: Seattle clinches at least 5th place
Seattle win and Everett loss of any kind: Seattle clinches 4th place
Spokane regulation loss: Seattle clinches at least 5th place
Seattle OT/SO loss, Spokane loss of any kind and Everett regulation loss: Seattle clinches 4th place
Seattle OT/SO loss, Spokane win and Everett regulation loss: Seattle clinches at least 5th place
Seattle OT/SO loss and Spokane OT/SO loss: Seattle clinches at least 5th place
Seattle regulation loss, Spokane regulation loss and Everett win: Spokane 6th place
(Obviously there are more permutations than these but these are the ones that clinch a spot for someone.)

Basically, no matter what happens, at the end of the night Seattle is the only team that can clinch 4th place. Sunday gets more complicated depending on what happens tonight but we will get to that if we have to after tonight’s results.
